I Won the CoreChair Dragon’s Den Contest!

February 23, 2016 Lisa Cantkier

I rarely enter contests and it’s almost never that I win a prize—for anything! In fact, I still get excited when I get that “congratulations, you won!” phone call—you know the one—they blare the cruise ship horn in your ear along with the recorded message saying, “congratulations, you just won a cruise to the Bahamas!” So, you can imagine how surprised I was to find out I won the CoreChair Dragon’s Den Contest!

A few weeks back, CoreChair held a contest in celebration of their upcoming episode on CBC’s Dragon’s Den. Participants were invited to guess whether CoreChair would strike a deal on the show. I had been interested in purchasing a CoreChair for some time, particularly since my friend Shirley Plant told me how much it helped her with chronic pain, posture and strength. I noticed a call out to the contest on twitter and thought I would enter for fun. Little did I think I would actually win! My guess was that they did indeed strike a deal with a Dragon. Yesterday I received an email from CoreChair that said, “Hi Lisa, I’m contacting you from CoreChair with exciting news, please give me a call! Thanks, Sandra.” I honestly thought the company was reaching out to their contacts, inviting them to make a purchase. I wanted to buy a chair and thought now would be a good time to learn more about it. When I called and she told me I won among tons of entries, I nearly fell off my chair!

CoreChair delivered my prize chair this morning with their “white glove” service (that was pretty cool and also unexpected—it arrives assembled for you and a team member educates you about the chair) and I must say, I never thought I could fall in love with a chair, but I have. This chair has serious benefits.  Designed to help you sit active and burn calories throughout your workday, it supports your core, posture, back and muscles throughout your body. What a great chair to receive in celebration of heart month & health month!

Having celiac disease, I experience a variety of symptoms that come and go from damage to the small intestine and nutrient deficiencies, including neuropathic pain. I have postural issues because as a baby with celiac, my spine formed with some curvature. This chair helps me to sit up straight. I need to strengthen my core (don’t we all?) and this chair helps me to work on that. I truly could not be more pleased.

These are my honest opinions that I want to share because I believe CoreChair is an excellent chair for me and I am very impressed by its functionality and benefits. I never accept payment for any reviews I write.
